Naples and Pompeii
A tour aboard the luxury cars of Novelli Autonoleggio and assisted by our drivers for the entire duration of the trip is a great way to start and leave Rome on the Autostrada del Sole heading south, cross entirely Lazio to arrive in Campania.
From the street you will see theAbbey of Montecassino, known for its famous battle and completely destroyed during the Second World War.
Once in Pompeii we will visit the excavations of the famous city burned and buried in 79 AD by an eruption of Vesuvius.
At the end of the visit it will be possible to have lunch and then reach Naples crossing Posillipo, where it will be possible to enjoy a unique view of the whole Gulf of Naples and Vesuvius.
Going down towards the port we will arrive in Santa Lucia, formerly the fishermen’s quarter, with its imposing Castello dell’Ovo. We will cross the historic center with Piazza del Plebiscito, the Royal Palace, the Basilica of San Francesco di Paola, the Teatro dell’Opera San Carlo, the Galleria Umberto I and finally the Maschio Angioino.
The return to Rome is expected around 20.30.
Not included: entrance to Pompeii (about € 10.00 per person) and lunch.
