The itinerary will start from the church of Santa Maria del Popolo (Terra) and the Chigi Chapel, the first altar of science.

The tour will continue with the second altar: the square and the basilica of San Pietro (Aria). The largest church in the world and at the head of all Catholic churches in the world. From here we will continue towards Castel Sant’Angelo and the famous “Passetto”, the secret passage that connected the Vatican with the famous Castle. We will go on to discover Bernini’s angels on Ponte Sant’Angelo (or Ponte degli Angeli) over the Tiber river.

The third Altar is the church of Santa Maria della Vittoria (Fire). Inside the last chapel on the left (Cornaro Chapel), where the Ecstasy of Santa Teresa is represented, the woman inflamed with passion was created by Bernini and considered pornographic by English critics. Outside the church you can recognize the Bernini Hotel.

The fountain of the four rivers (Water) is the last Altar. Located in Piazza Navona, one of the most beautiful squares in Rome, the sculptures were built by Bernini. The tour will end with a visit to the Pantheon, a huge pagan temple that became a Christian church and dominated by a large dome built in ancient times.
